Recordings

Written to a folder you choose on your own Mac. PAuL has no server to send them to.

Transcription and speaker labels

Run on your Mac, using models inside the app. Turn off Wi-Fi and they still work. No usage fees, no minute limits, however much you record.

Ask

The one feature that leaves your Mac. Asking a question sends the transcripts you selected to Amazon Bedrock through your own AWS account, in your region, under your agreement with AWS. It never passes through a server we run, and we never see it.

Accounts and tracking

There are none. No sign-up, no telemetry, no analytics. Nothing is sent in the background: if PAuL crashes it shows you the report and asks. Your licence key is verified on your Mac, offline.
